You`re all familiar with Greek and Roman mythology from school. Let’s learn a little bit about Slavic mythology today.
Once upon a time on the Biokovo mountain, good-spirited nymphs used to take care of the shepherds – helped them in the field, fed their cattle, and drove away evil spirits with their magical dance, laughter, and song.
One of them, the Nymph of Biokovo, will introduce you to the diverse life of this mountain which is home to hundreds of animals, from almost invisible species to large and powerful ones, and thousands of plants – endemic and rare, as well. They all live here, abiding by the rules of nature…
You will also learn about an exceptional Franciscan and a famous scientist, Friar Radić. His life and work reflect his love and respect for nature. He was the best guardian of the heritage, and it seems that the Nymph of Biokovo wants to continue his work… but you`ll hear more about it in person!
Pack your bags and see you in Makarska!
The Nymph of Biokovo is waiting for you…
