A walk with the Greek priestess Selino takes you through the ancient Pharos in the 4th century BC – the place and time of the arrival of the Greeks who founded the new colony of Pharos. Which natives welcomed them and how was life after their arrival? What did the settlers do and why did they choose Stari Grad?
The tour starts in the Remete Garden, an archaeological site of Greek culture on Croatian soil. Priestess Selino talks about the reasons for the arrival of the Greeks and the circumstances surrounding the development of the colony, the division of the land and the life of the newly arrived population. A walk through Sridnja kola leads us to the Stari Grad Museum where the visitors will learn about the way of life of the ancient Greeks and their material culture. The tour ends in the Dominican Monastery, where they`ll learn about the cults of the ancient Pharos and their connections with the Greek world.
