I find it very strange to see and encounter someone from a distant area today in this hour of our doom. it seems as if you do not know what’s going on in Poljica?! However, enter, please, follow me, this is my home. Welcome to my house, the safest house in the Poljica region. Welcome to katun Kostanje, my born house, to the house of great duke of Poljica, I am Mila Gojsalić, his only daughter. I didn’t expect anyone to see after the news we got this morning, maybe you came to help? I am sure you are here for that, aren’t you? Every brave hand is welcome!”

The story of Mila Gojsalić, the Heroine interpreteted by Nikolina Radmilo Pivčević starts in medias res so the visitors are involved, asked and in front of their eyes she opens the path to her heart and life. While you walk with young maiden, she talks about Poljica, heritage, customs involving everything around them in the story. She speaks about her things and her grandma’s advices  about marriage, her knowledge of soparnik or how she learnt to dance silent circle dance.

The Story of Mila Gojsalić, the Heroine is an interpretation walk inside the Historical Museum of Poljica and if the weather is nice, outside on a great historical phenomena in Gata, the heart of former Principality of Poljica / the Republic of Poljica. It’s a journey through time with Mila Gojsalić who is familiar with lots of customs from her region, loves Poljica, is soon to be married, and she enjoys talking about people from Poljica and its heritage.

This is unique opportunity why did Mila learn to make soparnik or what does a Law about the dogs from Poljica’s Statute say. Experience is special and one of a kind because the most important part of this story is you, the visitor.  You talk to Mila, you find out secrets of her heart, comment her wedding dress, but you are also there when she for the first time goes away from her home, deep inside knowing that it’s forever.
