Discover the tradition of soparnik in Tugare
Widely known for its delicious cherries, this hamlet is also a place of the dry-stone walls, klapa singing and an indispensable delicacy soparnik. Once considered a poor men’s meal, soparnik is today proudly protected as a traditional specialty with Protected Geographical Indication status awarded by the European Commission.
Participate in the making of soparnik on the fireplace of the Bulić family! The entire process is demonstrated by the double winner of the best Poljica soparnik award.
In addition to the main dish of the house, Bulić Rural Tourism offers diverse homemade meals and products typical for Dalmatian rural area. Traditional peka – meat or octopus with vegetables cooked under the baking lid, homemade cheese and prosciutto, seasonal fruits and vegetables – all are just a small part of a true taste of Dalmatian heritage and the warmth of countryside hospitality.
