We are very happy to announce the Dalmatia Storytelling project about Split’s most famous love story – Roko and Cicibela.

This beautiful tale takes us back 100 years in history, just a decade after the end of World War I. The famous Ivo Tartaglia, the mayor of Split at the time and the guide of this tour, shows his guests the beautiful Split, and together with Roko, revives the old love tale – life & soul of Veli Varoš and the old Split.

The famous love story of fisherman Roko Ljubica (Balauška) and Dujka Bašić (Cicibela), poor people from Split’s old suburb, is well-known locally, for they were living witnesses of the transformation of Split from a small port town into a modern city at the turn of the century.

Actor Ivan Baranović and tour guide & storyteller Luka Pavlović are happy to greet you and show you the beauty of old Split through this amazing story!
