How heritage shaped Kaštel Novi and Kaštel Štafilić

In the 21st century, the “Villages” of Kaštela look like “Forgotten Dalmatia”, full of hidden houses and stories about tradition, culture and a way of life that still pervades the modern era. The emphasis is on the waves of migration from the 15th to the 21st century, with a special focus on the late 19th and early 20th centuries, when viticulture and winemaking were both joy and ruin.
