Marjan’s Stories

Through this tour, you will be taken along the ancient paths of Marjan Park Forest. Listen to stories about the votive churches and hermits who lived long ago on the southern slopes of Marjan, observe the rugged cliffs with their sport climbing routes, and immerse yourself in the sounds of nature.

The cliffs hide caves once inhabited by hermits who adapted these stone dwellings for a life of solitude, far from everyday concerns. Nestled next to these caves is a small church dedicated to the renowned hermit, Saint Jerome (Saint Hieronymus). High above them, you can spot climbers testing their strength and skill as they navigate challenging routes toward the clifftops.
