From Field to Table – Vineyard and Wine Experience in Kaštela

 

What was life like in Kaštela from the 1st to the 21st century? We discover the roots of nature and society through stories and tasting traditional products.

The biblical garden of ‘Our Lady of Stomorija’ in Kaštel Novi is a wonderful place, full of peace and tranquility, symbols in nature, and history in stone. On the tour, we get to know natural, traditional and artistic phenomena. During the walk, participants visit also vineyards, and taste high quality and premium white and red wines of OPG Ante Kuzmanić (Tribljan, Babica, Crljenak, indigenous wines) with an appropriate traditional salty and savoury finger food while socializing in the shade.

Exceptional Wine Tasting at Gospa od Stomorja’s Biblical Garden I recently led a group to a wine tasting set in the beautiful outdoor setting of Gospa od Stomorja’s Biblical Garden, and it was an unforgettable experience. The unique location, surrounded by nature and history, added a special charm to the wine tasting. What made the experience even more special was the lady presenting the wines, who wore traditional 19th-century garments from the area. This authentic touch added a deeper connection to the region’s heritage, enhancing the atmosphere. The family’s personal approach and expertise shone through, with each wine introduced thoughtfully, sharing insights into the winemaking traditions. The hosts were warm and passionate, making us feel like part of their story. For a unique wine experience with rich tradition, exceptional hospitality, and a stunning setting, this is a must-visit.

Anna was a fantastic guide around the Vineyard, and the beautiful surroundings of Our Lady of Stomorija. She was highly informative, and alongside the head sommelier, they gave us anamazing taster of 3 different wines, with food from the local area, aswell as a tour around the fields. Would highly recommend to anyone interested in wine, or experiencing the local Croatian culture.
