OPEN CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

The Solin Tourist Board, in partnership with the City of Solin and Hotel President Solin, together with the international partner The Phoenicians’ Route, is organizing the 12th International Congress of Historic Towns, which will take place from March 24 to March 27, 2026, at Hotel President Solin*****.

This is the first project of its kind in Croatia, under the motto “Meet, Share & Build”, aimed at encouraging meetings (“Meet” concept) of leading professionals in tourism and archaeology of historic towns, the exchange of experiences regarding their promotion on domestic and international tourism markets (“Share” concept), as well as the development of new tourism products and packages through the joint engagement of key stakeholders in the development of cultural tourism destinations (“Build” concept).

For the 9th consecutive year, within the programme of International Congress of Historic Towns, the international cultural tourism award “Plautilla” will also be awarded. The award recognizes quality and innovation in the management of historic towns, in the field of interpretation and protection of cultural heritage, as well as in the promotion and distribution of cultural tourism products.

Applications may refer to: cultural tourism products, itineraries, heritage protection and valorization projects, cultural tourism events, heritage hotels, etc. Eligible applicants are legal entities such as tourist boards, local government units, crafts, companies, travel agencies, and similar organizations.

The award application is free of charge, and participation in the Congress is not a requirement for applying for the award.
