The first in a series of this year’s Musical Evenings at the Kamicak Fortress is Swingatan, composed of:

Petar Ugrin, violin; Zmago Štih, accordion; Aljaž Bassin, guitar; Mihajlo Levit, guitar; Nikola Matošić, double bass.

Swingatan plays exclusively their own original music, from which springs the freshness of the variety of arrangements and the complexity of the compositions. On the new album, every song has its own stamp, as all the band members contributed. Swingatan music is much more than gypsy jazz or swing, on which it originated and then developed its distinctive and original sound with an undertone of “Slavic swing”.

The band has so far released the albums Swingin’ Heaven (2019) and Swingatan Live (2021) and the new album Fanfare Romantique.
